Hello! My name is Lucy and I am from the Czech Republic. I started to eat quite differently (to compare with other Czech people) when I was about 14 years old. My sister was a dietitian at the time and she tought me and my parents how to eat more healthy and mainly how to loose weight.

I cut off fried food from my diet, I tried to avoid sweets as much as I could and learned more about what each food contains, especially how many calories.

During a year I lost almost 10 kilos but it wasn't enough for me. I was so scared about getting weight again that I only ate stricly by my "food plan." I always measured ingredients, I wrote down how much calories I ate in a day and I felt a bit depresed when I ate for example a piece of cake or something very fatty.

I thought I ate enough, but it was enough to loose weight not to keep it. And suddenly I had about 42 kilos which started to be quite dangerous for me.

It took like another 2 years when I was trying to convince myself to get some weight or at least don't loose any more. I used to have brighter times when I stopped to count the calories but after some time I always came back to my routine.

At the time I cooked for myself alot and I also created something like my own food magazine. I took photos of the meals which
I cooked and created my own recipies. I signed up for instagram and I begun to post some of my best photos. I followed other food pages in there and I saw some girls eating 3 eggs and a half of avocado (which I knew was super fatty) for breakfast and still stay super skinny. How is this  possible, I thought. I also started to watch some youtube videos about eating and cooking (vegan mostly) and
I begun to add those "fancy" foods in my diet.

I stopped to count the calories because I was feeling like I eat only healthy stuff and I knew that I fed my body in the right way. I have gotten some weight of course, but I also became stronger, I wasn't hungry all the time and I simply felt ten times better!

All of this didn't happen just because of the instagram and some youtube channels but
I must say that it has been helpful a lot.

So now I do eat what I want. I eat what makes me feel good and strong and after including more and more plant based food in my diet I found out what maybe works the best for me even if I am not vegan.

I hope you will enjoy all of the recipies and articles which I will post here and I also hope that this blog might help you to find a balance between food and your body as I did.
